Japanese elves fucking suck and I'm not going to pretend otherwise just to be a coomer. The Japanese "elf" that isn't just a human with pointy ears is few and far between. The Japanese seem to struggle with core concepts in Western fantasy in general, one of which is seeming to be perplexed by the concept of fantasy races, opting instead to portray anything that isn't a monster as a variant human.
