I just realized all of the venom spitted by the community day after day it all boils down to the inconsistency of this series.

Like it's not just the change of themes and direction that builds up too many audiences, it's also the fact ships and characterization are not consistent, it gives you hints and that just adds more fuel to the fire.

The cherry on top, sega can be influenced with people like flynn and related autists from the fanbase in their niche commmunities getting inside sega and pushing for their autism (since the control over the IP is loose), and the fact not even sonic team remembers who their characters are (tails can't be that coward against chaos, shadow can't be infected with that bullshit...) only makes people voice their opinions harder and harder to the point discussions end up violent.

Sonic works like democracy, and just like democracy's biggest flaw is you get instability out of emotional leverage when everyone are let to influence the state of things.
