Well... I dunno, that seemed to happen quite a lot back then. Even in the U.S. old-school mobster labor guys might want to send a message to the boss by blowing the front door off his house with a shotgun. This was a real conflict. There weren't things like labor "rights" back then. Let alone in Spain.

It happened in West Virginia in 1921. Not sure about artillery though but there were bombing runs by aircraft hired by coal companies.
