Windows 11 upgrades are starting to be forced by games now. Final Fantasy 14 just announced that it will stop supporting Windows 10 soon. Microsoft wants to force everyone into the TPM ecosystem along with anti-cheat and anti-chud. Looks like you have less than three months of freedom.

It happened to Windows 7, it will happen to 10. I warned you, but you laughed. Just wait until Steam drops support in a few years time, I will be here to laugh then too.

Microsoft blinked. Now Windows 10 updates are now free until October 2026 for Windows Backup users. I expect they will eventually retreat all the way the LTSC deadline by big companies who don't want to throw out their expensive hardware.
