I'd say it was a fun project like you're describing from issues 001 to 014 (Jan 2021 to July 2022). There was a shift in ethos following the hiatus between 014 and 015, along with all the other degeneration mentioned.
There was a best-of project for those first fourteen issues where a bunch of anons started selecting their favourite pieces after the editor had disappeared. If I close my eyes to everything 015+ and the fact that the best-of took two years to complete, I can pretend & went out on a high note and that the latter project was some kind of capstone.
