Remake is frustrating because it could've been different but still good.

I like the combat system. The entire Wall Market chapter was actually alot of fun. I like Midgar. I liked receiving the story in a not broken as fuck translation, the worldbuilding makes more sense than the original.

On the bad side the writing for the the characters they expanded on was terrible. Jessie I couldn't wait to see die because every scene with her in it made me want to die.
Fuck the busywork sections like the claw part and high fiving Aerith. Fuck the narrow corridors where you walk as slowly as the game's physics will allow you while the characters talk. Fuck the time jannies plot.

My friend has the same opinions as me on it and tells me Rebirth is actually really good so I'll be playing that when I'm done with Rimworld DLC and DK.
