You can just use HP +5 WITH a dragonstone for even better tanking. More pertinently, it's a skill, so it can be used in any class. As stat-boosting skills go, it's ok. A seraph robe is a quite good booster in Fates, and it's equal to one.

Sol is way better than Dragon Fang. I don't know the proc priority, but you can just unequip either skill on a case-by-case basis. You're not forced to use Corrin's dragonshit, that's the entire point of reclassing.

The actual problem with Fighter is that, other than some decent skills (HP +5 and Sol among them), it's not a class you want to stay in. Infantry with bad durability and no powerful 1-2 range is...bad. But, you have access to every class in RV so it's not that big a deal in the long run.
