Fighter is actually a good class for a lot of units, but Corrin isn't amongst them. Not only does Corrin have far better options, but you gimp Corrin's abilities by reclassing to fighter instead of sticking to base class in several ways, all the while fighting the game to bring out the perks of Fighter Corrin.

You get a seed (unwanted) mineral, exchange it for a *desired* mineral, and then bet the desired mineral in the arena to your heart's content. It takes 11 of a given mineral to actually forge a +3 bronze. This is a fact. So if you don't have the desired mineral, then add 5 of the throwaway mineral to the total cost. Whatever, you will only do this once.

The overarching point is that you CAN get some +3 bronzes in your run on original hardware, no hacks. It's realistic. I get sick of arguing with anons who just won't even try things, but are confidently incorrect. I've never hacked gems and I always manage a few +3s. Which you can then pass around the team as needed, it's not like they're going to break any time soon.

Hero is a good intermediary class because of HP +5/Strong Riposte, Sol and a breaker. Sol + Master Ninja is a popular EP build that i've seen floating around these days.

There's barely any class with good 1-2 range. If a unit does not have a magic stat, their only option is getting in the very few classes that use daggers for 1-2 range.
