Holy shit I'm slow. I just now realized that this thread wasn't actually a Steins;Gate related thread discussing what the anime would've looked like with Huke's VN art style, but instead an AI discussion thread; the topic was just used as a segue to discuss AI (and anime I guess)--whether it was shoehorned in is up your personal discretion. I suppose it does follow the criteria I listed in my post for it to be on-topic.
I still think it'd be best to have this discussion on /g/ instead--if you can tolerate the retarded-ass one-response "tranime" remarks from tourists. I suppose a general discussion of the technology would be best, but in that case that's what the generals are for. Like I said, unless there's a major happening related to the anime industry and AI, there's no need to discuss every incremental progress of AI. It's certainly cool and will definitely be implemented into studios workflows--whether the artist or consumer likes it or not--but that's years from now; it's not blatantly obvious at the moment.
From the looks of this thread, part of it is people showing off what their new toys can do, some are asking how to do it, and the rest are arguing with one another.
