As someone who is vaguely in the age range you might consider zoomer, I'm going to tell you right now that the "fantasy aesthetic" got trashed way WAY before "woke". Reality is that a combination of World of Warcraft and digital art created a really lame look that all fantasy had for like a decade. Then it was everyone wearing leather trash in shitty wintery muddy peasant villages. And then on occasion you'll see some really faggy shit that tries to hard to look cutesy like what you've got going on in the OP. Truth is that most artists are hacks that don't really make anything interesting on their own and just ape popular trends, if you want to see cool looking fantasy art you'll have to look them up and discover them on your own, especially if you're looking for something to suite your specific tastes. I admit that it's sad that you don't see a lot of the hand painted art you'd find on a sword and sorcery book dated from the 70s you found in a yard sale anymore, and it's also REALLY rough seeing a lot of people use AI art too, but at the end of the day talented imaginative are still out there making cool stuff. You just can't expect the mainstream slop to all be like it anymore.
