A period of rebuilding ensued, during which Sun Ce declared himself Emperor of Wu in the south. In response Gongsun Zan has formed a coalition with Wei, under whom his son Gonsun Xu still works, and sets up reorganizing the army to annex Qing province from Song in the future.
