it impacts less with the game being really easy and you don't really feel the pressure of the soul cannon unless you're really stupid or bad at the game. Lobotomy Corporation also does the "you failed a lot to get to this end, so cherish it", but it works *much* better because that game is designed to be ball bustingly hard no matter what and the time travel shit isn't cheap on the characters, it's actually a major plot point that they all hate it
