There can be false flags of course. In many cases when there's false flags, twitter can reverse a ban, if you appeal. In most cases bans are automated. After an appeal real people review the thing.
They seldomly tell you reasons for their decisions. Usually it happens if the ban is triggered by just 1 post. In that case they can point to it and tell you "this is the reason", but when it's multiple posts, they give you just a vague "breach of community guidelines" reason.
I can totally understand this being infuriating.
