I'm not saying Sonic isn't a bit of a trickster at times but he has been a total jock since the Genesis days, dude, don't know what to tell you. And yeah, he wasn't a real knight because he didn't swear his loyalty to any lord which is kind of required to be a knight, that's why it turned out he was like King Arthur instead, since he was worthy of Excalibur. Also fun fact, that's why Meta Knight is called Meta Knight. He's a knight who follows that code of chivalry, but the lord he's sworn loyalty to is himself.
