I wish SHMUPs did more with their story
The gameplay itself always involves some great feats but the reason as to why were doing all that boils down to
>You're saving humanity from aliens
Dialogue during gameplay could help with that, or maybe SHMUPs should feature both a story and an arcade mode similar to fighting games
