I find it hilarious how this board will fellate Maekawa for writing SA2 when the entire plot is a complete ripoff of a shoujo manga called Please Save My Earth. Alien kid with psychic powers lives on a moon base with his friends, one of them dies, he gets sealed away, and then wants to destroy the Earth for revenge. It's literally the same story. But that's considered peak kino and Maekawa is a genius for it. Yet when Flynn takes obvious inspiration from MGS, making the Diamond Cutters as a parallel to Diamond Dogs and Whisper as a mix of Sniper Wolf and Fortune, everyone screams that he's a hack with no original ideas. You can't have it both ways.

Why does Maekawa get a pass for wholesale lifting a plot but Flynn gets crucified for a homage? It's a massive double standard and you're all hypocrites for it.
