Ah, good memories from when I was naive. I never imagined a world where a writer would make the love interest lust after another man regardless of what you do. Halsin always has the exclamation point conversation in camp where he wants to fuck you and Shart always reacts positively, even if you never went to the brothel. And when you do go to the brothel, her response to Halsin's interjection is written in such a way that establishes that she's already been fantasizing about having sex with him for an extended period of time before you ask. Back then when I was first investigating these allegations, I truly believed those things I said. I hadn't seen them in my own game, so naturally and logically I assumed it MUST be the result of player-action, you must have instigated these things by flirting with Halsin first or something. I never imagined the depraved depths John actually went to. I was honestly legitimately surprised when I found out the truth. I think most authors on this planet would just write a normal romance, or at the very least not put actual lust and explicit sexual daydreams about another man as part of the romance for the designated most popular romance option. It still baffles me to this day.
But I'm quite happy with my evil drow wife these days so it ended up quite fine imo.
