I think Coran right here was noted to be quite chubby (for an elf) at some point.
Tolkien calls his elves slender, though it's difficult to say how much of that is the result of them simply not eating too much, or if it's entirely biological.
That's in general a question for many settings. If all the elves are slender, is this nature or nurture?
