I'm actually diappointed there was no real story development in Firebreak: It's honestly a fun and enjoyable (if a bit half-finished) Serious San co-op game but there was basically nothing about what's happened to the Oldest House, the FBC nor its personnel in the time since Control/the Hiss invasion? The game itself even mentions that the events of Control were 6 goddamn years ago.

>no fucking chat
Try no player communication whatsoever.
No in-game voice com nor any actually useful voice commands (see L4D2), and the lack of chat means you can't even type "ggz" after a match: I've seen spamming the duck button used as some sort of placeholder for this when grouping up in the elevator and finishing a mission?
I actually think Firebreak is a fun and enjoyable, if half-finished, game but that shit was beyond the pale.
