Lenna died in a fight with Sailor Barny on Route 118. Where Lenna was out for like 3-5 turns of the two Carvanhas using nothing but 10 power moves luring me into a false sense of security, until they vaporized he in one turn. This resulted in us cheating back to the Mauville City, before remembering dead pokemon shouldn't be able to use HMs.
This lead to us going fishing, where we picked up Boata, then Todo Bro after I realized Magikarp can't learn surf. I then got us stuck crossing the river fighting one battle before scuttling back to the Pokemon center. Until I engaged in the MOST embarrassing battle against Aroma Lady Violet on Route 123, me and Lewis both watched as we had it confirmed that we had Pokemon that would be taking super effective damage from the enemy and chose to change nothing. Todo Bro and Daisy died for out stupidity, luckily Boata evolved and gave me Surf, so I could return to the Pokemon center. I then stopped intentionally avoiding grinding, which would have saved them.
Things then went off with-out a hitch until Winona.
Peliper went down relatively easily, I was trying to take him down first because he resisted Surf, that let Swellow start to set-up evasiveness. Lewis had Green Guy not engaging with the Swellow. I was forced to send in Giana, who managed to use Encore on Swellow the one time he didn't use double-team. After a few more turns, she died and took the Alteria which just got sent out with her. I then sent out BonBon, and had her try to Sleep Powder the Swellow, Lewis started using our only inf. accuracy damaging move. The sleep miraculously hit, and Lewis chose to take Green Guy away not realizing the need for him. Nike Bro. then came in got Endeavor'd down to low HP, and began using Fly repeatedly. Bon Bon died, Boata came out and died, I was out so Shell Bro. was forced out, where he got Endeavor'd, but miraculously he hit a flamethrower, before he could get killed because Swellow kept aiming for Nike B
