Exactly how many different variations of the same shit are we going to get before we see the real thing? I'm getting sick of this, just release the fucking unredacted files already.

The NBA went to shit because they fully guaranteed every contract so all players have to do is try hard for one season, get some sucker to cough up a grossly overvalued deal that won't match their actual productivity and then coast until their next contract year.
Look at Kawhi, he's the King of this shit. He couldn't bring himself to play in SA any more but when he was auditioning for a new contract somewhere else suddenly he found the grit to persevere through an entire postseason (played 9 games his final year in SA but 60 in his contract year with Toronto). Ditched 2 teams he won titles with to go to LA instead, forced them to trade for Paul George (lol), ended every season by deciding he wasn't healthy enough to play (after consulting with his own doctors instead of the team doctors) and never played as many games as he did in Toronto....until his contract was expiring. Then, coincidentally, he was as healthy as he'd ever been in LA. And that sucker Ballmer coughed up another $200 million and Kawhi promptly missed half the next season and came back to "lead" the team to a first-round exit. But hey, he finally figured out how to finish the playoffs healthy: just lose in the first round and you don't have to play that many games. Totally worth that $400 mil Ballmer's choked up so far.
