People passively consume entertainment without being required to perform any active action (like clicking the subscribe button)
>Someone like Saba just inspires more people to subscribe at a higher rate? Or does she just have so many more spare fans that she can still reach crazy sub counts?
Right now she has a huge name recognition in this "smallish" segment of the entertainment industry by virtue of having the most subscribed vtuber channel and then leaving that channel at the top to create a new one.
With that said being the "most subscribed vtuber" carries a lot of weight if you are fan of vtubers but is "smallish" in the YouTube content creator world for the most part.
For instance, here is the video with the most subscribed minecraft content creators
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B78f3f7mt7w
Gura (or any vtuber, for that matter) wouldn't even make into the video at any point after mid 2023 and would be in the small sidebar between 2021 and 2023.
And that's a niche within a niche, subscribers of gaming channels of a specific game.
What's "crazy sub counts" for us is not that large. She's, amusingly, a "big fish" in a small pond.
