You are correct, I must've gotten BYOND confused with some other platform that charges an upload fee. It still requires you to be a BYOND member to store your actual game files on the BYOND servers for people to download, otherwise you have to host your files yourself (which anyone running a server is already technically doing, so it's still free for them).
There is this thing on the hub entry page about volunteer moderators or BYOND staff possibly removing a hub entry if it doesn't fit the tags but I really doubt Lummox or any of his jannies will actually bother.
