On a thematic level in terms of scifi naming tropes I can see where they're going on with it because providence means god's intervention and mother sphere had to hijack it to stop you.
I think the fight could have had more flair. Like say Providence attempting to directly hack you and add some cyberpunk 2077 blackwall visuals on the screen just to mess with you and all.
Interesting that they also still kept some sort of angelic theme with it.
