I've been cycling heavily since I first moved to Europe in 2020. I've cycle as a lycra clad roadie in both rural and urban settings. One common gripe, especially in America, is that roadies are 'spandex clad tour de france wannabes that constantly break all road rules'. But if I was asked to identify groups of cyclists it would not be lycra clad roadies who on the whole seem to follow road rules quite well, it would stoners, homeless, people renting those lime rental bikes.
