Jesus is returning soon regardless. It might be in the 2030s when we see him. I'm not sure what the timeline of the 21st century is going to be. But world war is definitely on the table to finish history. If you count the centuries since Jesus died and align them with the chapters in the Book of Revelation, we're near the last chapter. The very end this century. Everything in the Book of Revelation is filled with deeply compact symbolism. 22 chapters matches the Hebrew alphabet. Beginning and End. A lot of chapters in Revelation follow what's been dispensed throughout history. Chapter 21 is about the New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven. Which to me I take as being a nuclear bunker because of how dark and exclusive the description is. It says no countries will be let in that defile.
"The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life."
