I'm not quite sure how to answer this as Reco and Exedra are the only gachas I've ever played.
I think there is a consensus among players that this game is pretty greedy and stingy with rolls and whatnot but I've not played other gachas so idk.

Currently, there are three different main stories to play through. Original PMMM, Reco, and Oriko.
So far, half-ish of the events are PMHQ related.
A complaint amongst players here is that so much of the content is just recaps and little new material.
If you haven't touched anything else besides original PMMM + Rebellion then there's a lot of new material for new players.
If you have no interests in the side stuff I wouldn't recommend Exedra.
