Still alive and getting expansions, its profitable because its the only star wars mmo and they dump a ton of cosmetics in to it, the actual gameplay/story also gets updates just very slowly, it was transferred from bioware to broadsword (they maintain ultima and daoc) like 2 years ago now and most of the team stayed on and moved to broadsword, it gets a patched 2-3 times a year with some new events and storylines added, the last patch added the equivalent of OG's fates (public world quests on a timer) and the timeline which is something WoW should steal
