Don't worry. I only ever communicate with him whenever my dad is doing something with him or expecting some sort of favor with him, which rarely ever happens, but it still does. (My dad is actually my biological uncle's biological father. I was adopted.) My dad occasionally talks with him on the phone. I would prefer for him to not talk to him at all, but he still does. It's usually my narcissistic uncle who calls him, though. I don't believe they spend that much time talking.
I'm pretty sure my abusive (not to a crazy extent, but still nasty) grandma, who is my uncle's biological mother, is also a narcissist, but she seems like a low-grade narcissist. She always told me that nothing is mine and that I have no right to privacy and would keep me awake till midnight with her TV. She would repeatedly insult me, calling me stupid and a fat pig. She never believed she did anything wrong and would never apologize. She would use me to show off to her friends and always take photos with a film camera and force us to smile. She would often rage, hit my father, and there was yelling in the household every day. Funnily enough, I still find my uncle to be way creepier than my grandma. My uncle is likely a mid-grade narcissist. I recall my grandma hitting me a few times when I was little, like before I turned 11, but she would beat my uncle in the bath tub with a tennis racket. My mom, my uncle's half-sister (different father who died before I was born), would chase around my uncle with a knife. I didn't grow up around my mom.
