It's interesting to see what parts you remember after ten years because those are the ones that connected to you most. You can also notice things you haven't in the first read, for example this part where Winston tells Julia this right before they fuck for the first time:

However when they meet again later to fuck she tells him she can't, hinting she's on her period:

One would assume they wouldn't mind practicing sodomy, considering Winston's earlier approach of being attracted to anything which is corrupt, but then again this book was written in the 1940's so things must have been a bit different. Just compare it with the general degeneracy we're living through these days.
