That's not happening with any large studio. They will keep pumping out sequels of a tried and true franchise playing it safe while simultaneously dumbing it down for people who aren't the target audience. Indie fg devs are the only ones making original titles that aren't sequels of old fgs but they just... copy the gameplay from their favorite fg. The PS2 era of experimentation is over. SLOP REMAINS ON THE MENU.
