I first used it because I need an OS that supported macppc and NetBSD has the meme about it running on a toaster and this is going to sound silly but it feels the way a Unix should. Audio also works out of the box without issue for the most part.
Don't get me wrong I still use Linux when needed of even FreeBSD for my NAS for obvious reasons but NetBSD just feels right.
