Funny, although I've lost interest in the series around S4/S5 to the point where I was just occasionally watching a bunch of clips every few months, I did enjoy S6's finale:
>Gumball and Darwin saved everyone from short-term horror...
>...and by doing so have also doomed everyone to suffer through the final death of their world with no hope of ever getting out.
>Villain is aware of what awaits their world and is willing to share this information with everyone upon his defeat...
>...only to be knocked out cold and left alone until he falls to his doom into the very abyss he wanted to rescue everyone else from, taking all his knowledge down with him
>Nobody wins, everyone loses, but at least most characters are happy out of utter obliviousness for a limited time until their doom arrives
