All wrong. Weapon design is the shittiest in the entire genre since 99.9% of the movesets is a string-based slop that hinges on offset to produce wicked weaves and charge modifiers which is just one fucking attack and the regular hits are nigh worthless if not outright detrimental without any noteworthy properties, you're better off hitting air instead of enemies even with actual melee weapons like the sword. There is no real enemy design to speak of when all you do is dodge and/or run away to avoid close combat for whatever reason for every enemy bar one (Kinship), and it's regarded as the worst one by every Bayotard ever despite it only appearing twice in the campaign. No one else can contest the TPS playstyle so the aggression is a nothingburger, funnier still is that unless you taunt or put Gaze of Despair on the aggression is limited to one enemy at a time even on NSIC. Shit is levels below any DMC game on the easiest difficulty. All enraging does is promote ranged playstyle even further by giving every enemy hyperarmor against melee so it achieves nothing in the end. The combo autism doesn't hold a candle to even vanilla DMC 3 as it relies entirely on witch time, a braindead mechanic that would make combos a possibility in any game just the same if not better. Scoring system is not only extremely pigeonholing but also abusable to insane degrees to the point that you can bruteforce perfect plats by savescamming. The controls are objectively worse, just look no further than RG and MoMK, all options and depth were lost in transition and all that is left is a shallow husk that is the most braindead take on parrying in the entire genre. Actual mechanical trannyfication.
