I don't know if there's ever going to be a more literal way to exemplify that most of humanity really has no idea what's going on than the relationship with AI
In life generally or the universe or where it's all going or what the point of it all is or yes

No one wants to look foolish so they do do their best imitation of everyone else who is also doing their best imitation of everyone else
They fall back on things that are as natural and immovable as the ocean when someone or something challenges them and wants to make them look unreasonable

All this time spent yelling at men to "get a job" (who cares what) and "contribute something to society" at the same time that top scientists in silicon valley are aggressively competing to make the most convincing imitation of a human being that can do everything that they do

Silicon valley's top scientists still don't know shit about it. They're interested in riding a hype wave and making lots of money that's now worthless and being the first person to break new ground dismantling everyone else's livelihood
