In my experience, girls like this become so maladapted because they've been extraordinarily powerless in their own lives, and they're constantly cycling between anxiety, depression, and suppressed intense bitterness and anger. It's hard to imagine how they'd react to having size powers: suddenly whiplashing from a life of weakness to extreme power could be incomprehensible to them. Would they be too terrified to do anything? Would they fall into despair now that they've become something inhuman? She kidnapped a tiny off the street because she was angry that he was scared of her; she turned on the bathroom faucet and forced him under the hot water pouring out, then ripped his head off, saying that she felt a tension in her mind begin to relax. It was one of the hottest things I saw a girl say.
