the way I see it it's less about female or male its more about wether you value art or wether you value being known, choosing to degrade your art with a watermark shows that you don't actually care about the art and simply care that people know it was YOU who made that art even if the art is lessened as a result. people who truly care about art are not concerned with themselves as the artist but as their expression via the art. in a perfect world nobody would care to watermark because it shows that your art is shallow and narcissistic instead of being a testament to the human will. (tho I suppose narcissism is an expression aswell)
