People like you have ruined shota for me. Back then it was just like cartoon porn like hentai or loli. I think it was most people's attitude towards it. I would never find comments like yours associated with the genre in any site or forum I was in. Everyone understood it was fictional and for fun, that no one would actually confuse it with reality.
Years later (around 2020) I revisit the genre and I see a lot of comments like yours. You're the other side of the same coin, the coin being people who are unable to see fiction for what it is, with the opposite side wanting to ban shotacon because it harms children (somehow).
There's nothing I can do about it, the problem is systemic and a result of smartphones being invented and giving dumb people easy access to the internet. I'm just lamenting the fact.
