it was general subjective feedback, not critique; if you want explicit critique then it's mostly that the lighting scenario doesn't make enough sense. you have a strong primary lightsource from the top right, but the tuft of whatever on the bird's head isn't catching any light other than on its peak. the two areas above the bird's beak aren't lit in a clear way that implies a top right light, and seem to imply a secondary top left light that's reinforced by the grey bit of the beak but *not* reinforced by the bird's neck
regarding the skull, see picrel. the forehead/top of head is so much bigger than the rest of the head that it ends up looking somewhat weird. in A ive indicated what seems to be a double cheekbone far behind the eye socket (on an actual skull it's just under the socket), and whatever the hell is going on with the extra skull in B. the bulbous bit sticking out of the temple/temporal bone is also making it all look weird, plus a real temporal bone connects into the cheekbone in a pretty specific way
