The game has a surprising amount of depth, it's really noticeable at top tier just because of how quick the games go in comparison to WWII stuff. Proper positioning, knowing weak spots on tanks, and map knowledge are key. Lower tiers have those but the weak spots tend to be more forgiving, and since most people don't know the maps you don't need to worry as much.
