Celestial navigation and astronomy are two different skills anon. You need some basic grasp of astronomy for celestial navigation but that's it. You however need to be a complete trigonometry sperg lord who can cross reference and interpolate multiple numerical tables to correct for atmospheric lense effect and all that shit.
