How can a chapter's origins be unknown even if all records are lost? Chapters need to, by law, hand out a percentage of their gene-seeds to Admech for storage and study to determine if they're having any mutations. Surely they have to compare these to something. Otherwise, what are they looking for? And if they have a database of all the baseline chapters for comparison, surely they can determine which chapter they resemble the most, even if it's not 100% sure? Or are they comparing the chapters gene-seeds to each other over time? But that'd mean if they already got a mutated gene-seed from the start, it wouldn't show as mutated unless it mutates further.
