I have, and I was able to satisfy my original goal with pure D&D spiders. Mainly to ensure the appeal of D&D fandom when they see my army.

I seen people say that Clone Fulgrim would be defective since he doesn't have a primarch soul. But wound't it still be worth having cloned loyalist primarchs? Horus clone was able to hold out against a group of basically chaos champions and Abaddon or how clone Fulgrim was able to take command of EC marines to the point that even Fabius had an urge to obey him. Is there some big downside of not having a primach soul in a cloned primach?

I had a cool game against Chaos today.
Vashtor fucked my shit up and it was a narrow loss, but it was plenty fun. I think I took like 18 hazardous mortals and at one point he survived with 2 hp, ate a grenade, and still lived on won.

How do you carry your models?
I got this metal biscuit box from Ikea and it surprisingly can hold almost 75 magnetized models but I have an upcoming Patriarch and I don't think it'll fit as the guy stands on a tactical pipe with a 50mm base. I'm also thinking of traveling overseas for a while and carry them around and I don't think this box will do it unless I take it to the cabin with me in my backpack.

I have my OldCron army with green rods and have the normal loyalist Marine army that most everyone ends up with as well as an old and new CSM army and Death Guard. Guard looks interesting, especially using the Les Grognard minis from WGA for infantry. Votann are new and I do like Dwarf armies, but they seem a bit lacking in units from what I saw. Tau has battlesuits and those are rad, not to mention blocks of Fire Warriors with long range rifles. I am slowly reading the TSons book but I am not sure how rituals work just yet.

This reminds ome of my little pet theory that has absolutely no basis in the lore or any evidence to support it, but it totally seems like something the Imperium would do. Here it is:

The official story of Ogryn being large abhumans from high gravity worlds is a lie. They are really space marine initiates that had adverse reactions to the implantation that weren't serious enough to kill them, but still serious enough to cause brain damage and make them retarded. Since they still have some of the physical benefits of the implantation process, the Imperium doesn't want them to go to waste and so "purchases" them from whatever space marine chapters they came from and then throw them into the Imperial Guard as Ogryn/Bullgryns.

How can a chapter's origins be unknown even if all records are lost? Chapters need to, by law, hand out a percentage of their gene-seeds to Admech for storage and study to determine if they're having any mutations. Surely they have to compare these to something. Otherwise, what are they looking for? They're not essential, but definitely really useful, especially if you want to paint larger models like vehicles or want to prime without rattlecans. I can't stress enough how nice it is to not be dependent on rattlecans for priming models. With an airbrush you can just grab the thing and go regardless of the heat or humidity. Where I live it's snowing for 6+ months out of the year so for that alone it's a life saver.

Funny, I did that for my 2nd edition backport of Dark Eldar as an upgrade on a raider, where if an enemy tries to dive out of the way of a ramming vehicle, they get caught and dragged along behind it.

Dark Eldar are the coolest faction. I have 100 Kabalites because I love the kit and love their look. Lots of Wyches and Incubi too. I hope we get some new Wracks and Grotesques. Those and Vect and I'm good, but I'm not holding my breath especially if we're also getting Malys. We'll see eventually once GW gets through with the next wave of stupid marine slop.

PLEASE remove the tyranid ribbed vents/gills and layered carapace, just keep the overall claw shape. Cut it off and use plastic cement, but PLEASE don't just slap the claw as is, its gonna look fucking awful akin to those people who use AoS skaven bits for 40k Chaos without shaving off symbols

Not too hard, but the steersman, gunner and hangers-on really should be painted seperate since, if nothing else, they can clutter it up, aside from them the only really rough bit is the under-deck sections but they're not too noticable and can pass with black primer.

Well, you can definitely still do it, just expect to have to mask a lot more if you are using an airbrush. painting edge highlights and the deck itself are a bit of a pain once everything is glued too but still possible. I suggest you use a simplified version of your army scheme for the riders because some of them will be in difficult places to reach.

So it depends on your playstyle. MSU (multiple small units) helps with having more units to perform actions, spread farther to screen more, be in more places at once for objective holding (especially with sticky objective kabalites), and forces opponents to overcommit and waste damage to pick up only half of your unit instead of the full unit.
BUT it gives you a lot less efficiency on Leader buffs, pain tokens, and stratagem usage. So you kind of have to play around and see what units you need to be big and what ones you get more benefit from being small.
How efficinet your list is with utilizing your resources can decide a bit how you want to split.
A key thing to note with leaders and the venom split is you DON'T make those choices at list building. So you can wait and see what army you are facing and what mission and board layout you are playing before you choose whether to split or not.

they're pretty compatible across the board in faction, so you can mix kabal/cult/coven stuff pretty easily. Craftworld stuff too. Plenty of options there, plus you can always branch out to stuff like GSC for Vorgani (or just weird Coven things)

Acolyte leaders bonesword and lashwip. Acolyte mining weapons got merged and gutted into a shadow of their old glory.
Aberrants pickaxe and hammer got merged into one during 9th. While the stop sign got removed and merged with the regular power weapon. Also tail attack got removed even thought it was in the index.
Metamorph got their light and heavy attacks back but merged into a single weapon. Why they didn't do the same thing with aberrants? no idea
