I mumble "s-sorry" and then leave, even though I wasn't and I needed something from that aisle. I awkwardly stand in the one next to it, pretending to look for something, as I wait for her to go. Then I receive my product and pay via self-checkout while wishing I had ordered it online despite the markup and shipping fees.
I return home, saddened yet again by the experience of feeling like a creep just for existing, and go back to bed without eating.
