Foundational Cosmology

In the beginning, the world of Mythralis was shaped by the Ainur, divine spirits who sang creation into being. Among them, some fell into corruption — and from their discord came the raw Chaos: a metaphysical force of change, magic, madness, and destruction. The most powerful of the Ainur who fell, Melkor, was the first to tap into this dark power and gave rise to the Great Ruinous Gods (the Chaos Gods), whose influence seeped into the world through the Northern Wound, a vast, reality-warping rent in the sky.

Magic flows from this wound, but its touch is perilous. The force known in some lands as “the Weave” or “the Winds of Magic” is known in Westeros as “the Higher Mysteries”, and in the East as “the Warp”.
