After many years spent in diligence and rigor, I have begun to grasp the shallowest beginnings of the true Arts. That is enough. Myrmidion was a fine master, but there is little left for him to teach. I know what they say is true. To know the Art, you must experience the world for yourself.
I must take up cloak and staff, and depart that venerable tower. It is with a heavy heart I leave my fellow apprentices behind. The old man was the worthiest mentor I could've ever asked for. In truth, deep down, I always thought of him as a father. I know he is proud of how far I've come from the child he once knew.
>Myrmidion's Calculus
Perhaps as proud as I am to carry his legacy. It is a magnificent thing, a working which rebounds on the wielder. Like a sword that sharpens itself, only a true visionary could've conceived it. The elegance of this Art is unmatched in this world. I hope to use it well.

Long nights hunched over scrolls have not been in vain. Though my hands be gnarled and my eyes be clouded beyond my youth, it is not in vain for I am prepared. Some are given over to and blinded by giddy passions. I do not fault them, but far be it from me to do the same. Not I, when the mantra abides: a strong body makes a strong mind. When I did not ponder orbs, I lifted stones, and now, the fruit of hard work is ready to be plucked. No matter.
