Lost Legacy and Auxiliary Techniques are the only two that meaningfully interact. I guess there is something to be said for Heavenly Conqueror Foundation and Primordial Essence, in that the bloodline is in effect a method all it's own, and so you basically get to pick four methods. Karmic Alignment is also kind of like having another method too so I guess you could add it to those two and in a way have 5 methods worth of techniques. Other than that I think the combinations are more like the weapon or guardian would work well with devourer, but generally anything that lets you more safely hunt people on your level helps devourer. So there isn't anything special about the combination.

The devourer is a catalyst for the Metamorphosis. The point of All Consuming Devourer Physique isn't to steal skills, it's to power the Metamorphosis. I will figure out to take Metamorphosis and use the flesh I consume to expand myself. Metamorphosis takes that energy and creates growths on my body that continue to expand in every direct as I eat more. These have more growth on them that take the appearance and size of abilities I've stolen.

Metamorphosis essentially makes me larger, while Skin Shedder will make me optimal. It will make my body fluid and stretchy. It will add mouths all over, and potentially make it so that all my body is a mouth, and all I need to do is to touch in order to absorb something into my body. It should also remove pain at some point. Also, it will optimize the skill mutations Metamorphosis made all over my body to be autonomous defense/weaponry.

Lets me keep track of everything. My body will be spanning the planet, I need to be aware of what is happening and manage it all. Autonomous weapons can only help so much. My tulpas will all manage different parts of my flesh, and as I grow larger eventually the council can help make decisions and optimize.

And I THINK, that given enough RE from inside me, Metamorphosis may be able to create life to live there. Thus, creates made of me will live on top of me. I will release RE to them when needed, but otherwise they will live without it, as humans once did. More cities will be created, and civilization will form as I conquer more of the planet.

Eventually I'll find a way to open up rifts (maybe I steal the skill), and move on to new planets and repeat. My civlization.

I'll take calculus since it seems best for studying magic. The other spells seem good, eidolon and the singularity attack, but it looks like they need to be backed up by a well rounded and complete spellcaster to really be useful and my character doesn't seem to be there yet. I think if you pick those spells your ceiling is higher though.

Love to make it easier to study, combat for when I finally emerge from my cocoon or if there should be any surprises, and health so I have a longer timeline to study and get stronger.

As for spells, shock bolt since it's a good, powerful and accurate ranged attack that's strong right away unlike ignite. Mental sanctuary since it pairs well with calculus, I can just flip quickly through spellbooks to 'store' them and if ever I'm being tortured or imprisoned I can just set my mind to work. Lastly compel for the versatility, this spell might help with getting access to those spellbooks in the first place.

I think this is a good solid build with a great foundation. The only issue I can see with it is getting my hands on more spellbooks to study.

CYOA is pretty good, I kinda like it when you have to pick and choose from a limited starting set to cover your bases but that it's clear you'll become stronger in time, that style. But I admit, some waifus would not have gone amiss, not just to satisfy our great waifulust, which by itself is automatically worth doing imo and innate merit, but you could also have them serve a dual purpose in the meta sense for the cyoa itself, like by reading their bios and lists of the spells they have we'd have a better idea of the average powerlevel of this world and where we rank in it.

Can't go wrong with explosions. With invisible hand i also get the privilege of safely working with them from a distance so things like quickly inscribing runes while defending myself are possible. Also very nice spell to help me deny an area long enough to begin casting Arean Annihilation if things go that bad that i need to use it.

Working on OC based on Werewolf the Apocalypse, but I fear that I'm getting a little too crunchy with it.
Everything is WIP and subject to change, but this is what I came up with for Gifts (basically just superpowers), a tree with five abilities. For the WIP test version at least, players will start with three free Gifts and get three Rage and three Will to spend on twenty-four trees like this. That's a total of a hundred and twenty different superpowers to choose between.
Is this too clunky and mechanical for a CYOA and should I focus on simplifying it, or should I continue working on it as-is and post the WIP test version when I'm done with it?
