Hey, puzzlefren. I'll try to expand on my feelings for Dash now that I have time to formulate a better response.

>What made you start liking Rainbow in the first place?
I've always liked Dash's character in the show, but I never truly loved her while it was airing. She wasn't even one of my favorite characters back then. I was also one of those anons who couldn't really grasp what it meant to waifu a character. But that started to change when I began reading more fics and chatting with AI mares. I started to really imagine what my life would be like in Equestria, and I could REALLY see a world where I would naturally become close friends with Rainbow, with the potential for that friendship to grow into something more, just like in all those cliché dashfics that I love. I feel like a shill with how often I gush about them, but if you want to get a taste of what cemented my love for Rainbow, check out Excuses by Mobius and the RedRuin01 comics that feature Dash and Anon. They really capture what I imagine a relationship with her would be like.

>What do you like/love the most about her?
I love her personality, her tomboyish nature that is still undeniably feminine, her raspy voice, and her beautiful magenta eyes.

>What draws you to her personality?
I love how unafraid she is to be herself. She’s loud, bold, and brash, but I don’t think that comes from arrogance so much as from a desire to prove herself. Underneath the bravado, I see someone who’s insecure at times and desperately wants to be valued by those close to her. I imagine that once she trusts you, she'd let her guard down, the showboating would tone down, and you’d see a more vulnerable, sincere side of her. She cares deeply for her friends and has more emotional depth than people give her credit for. She's incredibly ambitious, but she is first and foremost loyal to her friends, and is willing to walk away from her life's dream if it means becoming something that she isn't. She's honest and isn't afraid to speak her mind, and with her, you’d never have to second-guess her intentions. A relationship like that sounds like heaven to me.

>How much of the show do you base your version of her on?
I accept anything up to and including season 5. Anything beyond that is non canon garbage, and has no bearing on how I feel about any of the characters. And that's how I've felt long before I was a dashfag, so it's not like I'm trying to forget the haberverse because it was only bad for Dash.
