A Darker Shade.

A chill fills the room in the night,
Lacking fight, I divine.
Sleeping just to pass the time,
Blessed by the moonlight.

And when I awake I'll remain,
In a darker shade of gray.
Colored tears carried by the rain,
Won't take me away.

Feeling dazed by the day,
Worshipping my pain away,
Letters chained in disarray,
Change hands as they're read under the shade.

Moonlight is where I go to pray,
Under the Heavens praising gaze.
What will I stop playing this game,
When will I meet them?

Another word delivered late,
Another poem will go to waste.
Such is the rate that I decay,
These are happy days.
