I think she's more sympathetic than Jax, just coming from a place of concern for others and trying to get through things by staying optimistic. But I can see the negative side of her not allowing herself to ever feel or express anything that isn't a positive emotion.

It makes people question her sincerity at times when acting upbeat and cheerful is her default coping mechanism regardless of the situation.
